August 2024 has some really exciting events in Pokémon GO. There is an exciting Shadow Raid Weekend, the return of Shadow Suicune, and some really exciting events and Spotlight Hours. Plus, the 2024 Pokémon GO World Championships Battle Week.

August 2024 will see a wide array of Pokémon GO events. Here are the dates for your calendars this month:

August 2024 brings several exciting Pokémon GO events. We’ve got the long awaited Pokémon GO Community Day for Popplio Global, the return ofAdventure Weekwith a twist, and a Shadow Raid Weekend that could see the return of Shadow Apex Lugia.
Popplio will make its Shiny debut during this Community Day.
We don’t yet know what the featured Pokémon will be for the August Community Day Classic. Fans are desperate for a Beldum Community Day, will Niantic finally give the Trainers what they want?
Pokémon GO August 2024 Raids
Five Star Raids
The current Pokémon GO season has been all about Flying-type Pokémon, and that theme continues for most of August. Moltres and Incarnate Forme Thundurus are both popular Pokémon.
However, Xerneas breaks that trend, and is a welcome return. This Fairy-type Pokémon is very powerful, and is well worth raiding for at the end of the month. A solid August 2024 line up for Pokémon GO Raids.

Mega Raids
August 2024 Mega Raids in Pokémon GO are looking good. Kangaskhan is usually Region locked, so this can be a great chance for Trainers to complete their dex. Plus, after Bagon Community Day Classic not too long ago, the chance to get some Mega Salamence Energy is a welcome one.
Shadow Raids
Pokémon GO Shadow Raids in August 2024 will see Shadow Suicune available, with the Shiny version released. This is a very strong Shadow Pokémon and if you may get a group together, another good use of your time in Pokémon GO this month.

As always, there will be a range of Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours in August 2024. Notably, the Pokémon featured this month are great for PvP, so well worth heading out to grab. Drilbur, evolved into Excadrill is also a solid Raid Attacker.
