Vocations in the Dragon’s Dogma series are character classes that players can pick for their character, and Dragon’s Dogma 2 has overhauled this system to make way for a more immersive one.

Every RPG has character classes and the Dragon’s Dogma series is no different. The character classes in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are calledvocationsand the game has a diverse system for players to explore. Dragon’s Dogma 2 has 10 different vocations for players to choose from.

And they can even select the vocation for their pawns. Dragon’s Dogma had nine vocations, so there’s one more in the sequel. That’s just at the surface of things, however. The sequel has some different vocations from the first game.

List of starting vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has four starting vocations. These vocations are available not just for the main character but also for their mainpawns. Players start the game by creating a character that is customized for any one of these vocations.

What are advanced vocations?

Advanced vocations are essentially more powerful versions of the starting vocations. These are available to players in the game at a later stage for their main character or pawns. They can be accessed when the player has advanced enough in the game.

Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 have hybrid vocations?

Yes, players aren’t just going to be stuck to their starting vocations in the game. They can select hybrid vocations as long as they advance enough into the game and build their character for it.

The catch is that these vocations are only available to the arisen (the player’s main character), and not their pawns. The designated hybrid vocations in the game are as follows:
