One team made it through the Mobile Legends esports World Championship with no losses. The other experienced ups and downs. What is the conclusion of this story?

One title to gather them all — and only two teams were left standing on the final day of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 Championship. Fnatic ONIC PH (FNOP) and Team Liquid ID (TLID) had a best-of-seven (Bo7) grand final. The teams needed four wins to claim that one and only World Champions title.

FNOP had an excellent run throughout the tournament stages. One more push, and FNOP write their names into the MLBB esports history — with no losses at M6.

TLID fell twice in the Swiss stage, and they were sent to the lower brackets of the Knockout stage by no one else than FNOP. TLID had to defeat their rivals to earn the ultimate prize.

M6 grand final, FNOP vs TLID: Match recap

FNOP were unstoppable in the grand final! In most games, they got early advantages and then smashed TLID with the full power of their MLBB heroes.

TLID managed to win one game, though. It proved their true power. But compared to the current state of FLOP — no, no one in the world could win this match.

The FNOP players delivered devastating dominance in Game 4. They were thorough and methodical in Games 1 and 3. The pair of Kelra and K1NGKONG ended Game 5 in such a unique way!

FNOP are the MLBB World Champions!

Game 1

The teams exchanged kills at the start of this series — both Fnatic and Team Liquid were eager to battle.

At some point, the team fight luck swayed in favor of FNOP. They earned some kills, approached the first Lord with an advantage, and secured this objective. The game fell apart for TLID here. Suddenly, they were 8 kills and 8,000 gold down.

FNOP destroyed all the outer turrets of their opponents, and they grouped for the next Lord. TLID didn’t even try to contest it.

In that siege, FNOP took down the rest of the turrets, killed two TLID players, and destroyed their base. It was a mighty opening game for FNOP in the MLBB M6 grand final!

Game 2

FNOP relied on securing objectives, so they took the first Turtle. TLID focused on fights, and they got an early advantage in this department — but not for too long. After a massive clash, the teams made their kill and gold score even.

Maybe objectives were a better idea, as FNOP wiped out all their opponents at around minute 6. Three Turtles were on their side, and the Fnatic players went for the turrets. Only one Inhibitor kept standing for TLID, and FNOP did that even without the Lord.

Securing the Lord for the next siege was just a technical detail. That push destroyed the base, with no chance for TLID to defend.

Game 3

TLID secured the first Turtle in Game 3 and prevented FNOP from going ahead with kills. After the second Turtle, TLID got the objective and were a couple of kills ahead.

FNOP did not let the opponents start their advantage. With some good moves, they made the score equal. Still, TLID secured three Turtles.

With a good kill, TLID got a people advantage around the first Lord. That push allowed TLID to destroy all the outer turrets of FNOP.

TLID did not need to wait for the second Lord. They won a great team fight, eliminated almost all the opponents, and won this game. TLID looked really strong for the first time in the MLBB esports M6 grand final!

Game 4

FNOP brought the destructive spirit to this game. Kills, gold, and objectives — everything they wanted to get was theirs. TLID seemingly couldn’t do anything.

At minute 9, FNOP took down the first Inhibitor turret. The Lord wasn’t on their side during that siege! When they got the objective, and the Lord reached the base of TLID, the FNOPplayers already eliminated another turret and one opponent.

FNOP destroyed TLID in an almost disrespectful way to reach the match point. One more game, and FNOP are the 2024 MLBB World Champions.

Game 5

This was lower than in the previous game, but FNOP still got their early advantage. They had 3,000 gold more at minute 6. This probably gave FNOP the fake feeling of overpower. They pushed unnecessarily and were severely punished by TLID.

Suddenly, there was no gold difference at all. TLID got kills in a fight around the first Lord, but the objective went for FNOP. The trade turned out to be in favor of FNOP, as they harvested kills and turrets in that push.

The pressure by FNOP was extended up to the second Lord, and the players secured it for free. Even if that push took down almost all the turrets, it could end up with a disaster for FNOP.

Only two FNOP players survived that fight. While K1NGKONG was distracting the opponents, Kelra was running around the base — and he destroyed it.

Team Liquid vs Fnatic at MLBB M6 final: Imperfect full domination

These two teams made it to the upper final of MLBB esports M6 World Championship through pretty difficult semis. Who’s better prepared for the next battle?

Fnatic ONIC PH and Team Liquid ID: To reach the stars

Both these teams had a lot to prove in the top-level MLBB esports. The current roster of TLID was formed in August 2025. Reaching the M6 grand final for such a short period was just amazing!

The very sub-division of Team Liquid in Indonesia started competing slightly earlier in 2024 on the base of AURA Fire, and TLID became the champions of MPL Indonesia Season 14.

FNOP had a somewhat longer history under this brand. The team was 2nd at the M3 World Championship. But the current roster is also fresh — it was formed in July 2024. The players strived for great results, winning MPL Philippines Season 14 and reaching the M6.
