Coming this fall

EA’s beta forBattlefield Hardlinemay have ended, but anyone that missed out has another chance to get in on some early cops and robbers action. In a post onBattlefield‘s website thanking players for participating, EA revealed that it’ll hold another beta sometime in the fall.

Whether this is just EA doubling down on the hype machine that betas tend to be, or if it’s the company’s first noticeable steps toward ensuring thatBattlefield 4doesn’t happen again, well, that remains to be seen. Realistically, it’s probably a sly combination of both.

A second beta isn’t the onlyHardlinenews to come out of the post, however. It was said that the singleplayer campaign is being structured in a way that’s “similar to what you see when watching episodes of your favorite TV shows.” It’s tough to envision what that could possibly mean, but EA assures we’ll hear more about that soon. Also mentioned were the obligatory “more maps and more game modes” because you weren’t really dumb enough to think that the beta was everythingHardline‘s multiplayer had to offer, did you?

The opening area of the Whisper mission, in a small grove.

The Divide in the Cosmodrome, where the Guardian was resurrected.

A holofoil Ribbontail, as seen in collections.

The Phoneutria Fera hand cannon, inspired by the Season of the Haunted armor set. It has a unique, galactic glow.

Three Fuses appear in a match of Apex Legends' Wild Card mode.
