Mai Shiranui is the second Fatal Fury character who joined the roster of Street Fighter 6. It’s a very big deal for the entire fighting games community (FGC), as it’s the first time ever the legendary Street Fighter series has collaboration characters in its main series.

Say hello to Mai: SF6 Fighting Pass details

It’s one of the monthly Fighting Pass seasons in Street Fighter 6. Say Hello to Mai is active from Feb. 5 to Feb. 26: it was released with the same SF6 update that brought Mai to the game.

Alongside the new DLC character, Street Fighter 6 got some fresh content.

While there are no big balance changes as it was with theSF6 update from Jun 11, 2025, the developers have made many quality-of-life improvements. All of them are described in the officialStreet Fighter 6 Patch Notes for the Mai update. This SF6 maintenance is over, and you can check the adjustments directly in the game.

Fatal Fury music

This Fighting Pass has three music tracks from the classic game Fatal Fury Special, 1993. Sure, they are available on streaming services as well, but having them in Street Fighter 6 is totally special.

A wonderful thing about these titles is that all your opponents will be able to see them and appreciate your style (and the historic Fighting Pass achievements). The titles come with really beautiful backgrounds.

Mai’s costume and actions for Street Fighter 6 avatars

The traditional costume of Mai Shiranui can become available for your SF6 avatars — if you earn its elements via this Fighting Pass.

In addition to this, your Street Fighter 6 avatar can learn two actions, typical for Mai Shiranui. Both highlight the beauty of her dancing fan.

With the Fighting Pass, you can earn some other nice rewards, like chat stickers to express your emotions and even the hack-and-slash game Strider to play in the Battle Hub.

Mai is part of Street Fighter 6 Year 2 Character Pass, and the set also includes Elena, a brand new fighter who joins the game in Spring 2025. This may happen right after the matches ofCapcom Cup 11.
