Valve’s co-op zombie shooter has made quite a few references to Simon Pegg’s classicShaun of the Deadin the past, from Louis’ costume inLeft 4 Dead 1to the cricket bat melee weapon inLeft 4 Dead 2. Today, Pegg himself been getting to grips with the latter game, and he seems to like it!

“Left 4 Dead 2inserted. I have not come this far, to die now. Yo zombies … Let’s go,” Tweets Pegg. “Using the cricket bat. Feels right.”

Pegg’s initial impressions are glowingly positive: “This game is all kinds of awesome. Love the Zs too. Somehow fast is OK here. Good combo of Romero lethargy and28 Daysbeserker rage. Sweet!”

So there you have it. Simon Pegg is an authority on all things undead, and he approves ofLeft 4 Dead 2. In case you needed any further proof that this game is terrific fun, you now have Pegg’s seal of approval. He even likes the fact that they’re the fast-style “Infected” as opposed to his preferred shamblers.
