Niantic is still really pissed that everyone is using third-party apps, and in addition to blowing a ton of them up, it has also been sending out mass ban emails, so check your inboxes if you’re one of those impacted. The email essentially notes that your account has been immediately terminated, and there’s an appeals form listed if you think it was a false positive. It’s a zero-tolerance policy.
It’s been tough playingGothese past few weeks due to the ill-will that Niantic has garnered from just about everything it’s done — froma lack of communication(unless it’s negative) to the removal of tracking apps (which I never used, but some people I played with refuse to game without). I generally don’t like playing by myself, so I’m kind of stuck in a mid-level 20s rut.
