Hitman GOlaunches today, a puzzle game via Square Enix Montréal that’savailable on iOS devicesfor $4.99. An Android version is on its way as well, so calm down. They didn’t forget about you.
Karsten Lund, creative director at Square Enix Montréal, gives a pretty succinct rundown ofHitman GOand what it’s all about: “We boiled most of the coreHitmanmechanics such as disguises, distractions and different weapons, down to the simplest possible game, without losing the fun and tension of its AAA counterpart.” If that means I can finally implement stealth in aHitmangame the way I did when I was homeboy Garrett throwing down moss arrows as I walk, then I’m down.
Hitman GOlooks intriguing, and I’ll probably check it out since these diorama-style levels are an interesting twist on the typical aesthetic we’re used to. Agent 47 has never looked cooler than as an adorable little game piece, and if this werePokémonMonopoly I would have commandeered him for use as a damage counter for one of the many TCGs I play. And if you want to talk favorites,Hitman: Contractsis mine because there’s a bondage party and gimp masks, and I like to go in guns blazing, killing everyone who comes my way, including each level’s target. I am dumb.
