OGzLabs thinks “It’s cool to be this old and have fun with a bunch of young people.”
John “OGzLabs,” better known as simply “OGz,” is a 57-year-old streamer who is trying to do his bit in giving back to the community.
The Missouri-based streamer said that the name “OGz” is short for “Ole Geezer.” He is adorably accepting of his age whilst streaming Call of Duty and Battlefield titles on his Twitch channel.
The clip came about because the streamer managed to win his 1,000th game of Warzone Solos in Warzone 1.
The support was very overwhelming for John. He usually averages anything between five and 10 viewers on his stream at any one time. That shot up to a massive 51 average viewers in the six-hour stream following Lucky’s tweet.
“I’m a little bit overwhelmed with everyone being here, but I appreciate it,” OGzLabs said on his stream. “It’s cool to be this old and have fun with a bunch of young people.”
“Sometimes I win, most of the time I lose, but I am a grinder extraordinaire. The worst part about being old is that I can’t see and I can’t hear.”
John has been playing games for more than 20 years, and according to his Twitch profile, he’s a big fan of Call of Duty and Battlefield.

John’s stats are incredibly impressive. Most people consider gaming and Call of Duty to be a young player’s game, but he is proving that is not the case whatsoever.
His lifetime 1.85 K/D in Warzone 1 registers inside the top 2.8% of players to have played the game and his 3.03 in Chapter 3 alone will rank considerably higher than that.

“I’m just your typical old guy. It’s been a grind,” OGzLabs said. “I’ve got to thank my community, but the person I’ve really got to thank is my wife. She’s the one who puts up with this.
“She puts up with all of this stuff. She is so supportive. This is my release from my regular job.”
Treating streaming as his release presents John with the opportunity to give back. He’s keen to bring some positivity to the platform.
“We all know how toxic this game can be,” he said. “When stuff like this happens, it’s why I wanted to do what I do in my free time. You guys are giving me an avenue to give back that is pretty amazing.
“Everybody talks about how toxic it is, but there is such a great part to this community that most people don’t see.”
Alongside a full-time job, he’s streamed 121 hours in the last month, an impressive amount for someone who has to work full-time alongside it.
