For those of you who have been waiting patiently for the return of Sam Fisher, sit back and prepare to wait a little longer. In a financial report today, Ubisoft revealed that the upcomingSplinter Celltitle has been delayed.

Originally slated for fiscal 2008-09, the title is scheduled to hit during fiscal 2009-10. The game, previously announced asSplinter Cell: Conviction, is simply referred to asTom Clancy’s Splinter Cellin the report. Rumors have perisisted that the previously announcedConvictionwas in development hell and had possibly been sent back to the drawing board.
