Watts, 56, said Kidman, 57, is “at the absolute tippy-top of her game” and “there’s no one higher.”
“When you think of the body of work, how many different things she’s done, and she’s so fearless in every single role,” said Watts. “And then, at the epitome of her sexuality in her 50s? I mean, power to her! Yes, it is extraordinary.”
Watts continued of Kidman, “And you know, every man, woman, straight, gay, you name it, they are all in love with her. And I’ve always known that she was, sheis, all of that.”
At Kidman’sAFI Life Achievement Award Galain April 2024, Wattspaid tribute to the Oscar winnerand their decades-long friendship, whichbegan when they met at age “15-ish” at an audition.

“Nic has always been the most generous person. She’s opened up her homes to me, she’s made me feel like a part of her family. She was like the sister I never had,” Watts said onstage at the event.
She later added, “Nicole is a brilliant artist because there’s no limit to how far she’ll push those boundaries of her art in the name of storytelling. This woman has the nerves of steel and a heart of gold.”

“So itwas really beautiful to be seen in this way,” she added. “From the minute I read it, I was like, ‘Yeah, this is a voice I haven’t seen, this is a place that I haven’t been, I don’t think audiences have been.’ "
