Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxypresents many choices throughout its lengthy campaign, and visiting Knowhere in Chapter 6 throws a lot of unique purchasing decisions into the mix as well. Should You Buy Lottery Ticket in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy?

During the first playthrough ofMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy,it is not recommended to buy the lottery ticketon Knowhere during Chapter 6. It won’t lead to winning 5 million Units, and it doesn’t provide any story or character alterations to experience.

However, collectible andTrophy/Achievement hunters playingMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxywill want to purchase the 1000 Unit lottery ticket in at least one of their playthroughs. It is a Galactic Compendium item, and will show up in Peter’s inventory once purchased. Players must collect 65% of all collectibles in each category of the Quillopedia to unlock “Lore Hoarder”, and the lottery ticket is a pretty easy item to obtain.

If players are interested in getting a Platinum or full Gamerscore as quickly as possible, they can buy the lottery ticket on an early playthrough as long as they have enough Units topay the fine inMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. This unlocks the “Galactic Frugality” Trophy/Achievement.

Depending on whether players chose tohide the llama or the tech in Chapter 2 ofMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, the fine is between 7000 and 9000 Units. This means there is a bit of wiggle room on how much can be spent while exploring Knowhere.

Other easily locatable Galactic Compendium items in Chapter 6 include a Collector’s Emporium ticket, the Nova device disabler, and a doll that also counts as one ofGamora’s Guardian Collectibles inMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

This is found in the gift shop of the Collector’s Emporium for 2000 Units. A ticket is not needed to buy it, but players can get a free one from Lipless in the bar if Peter successfully convinces him that he remembers their friendship. Exploring the emporium doesn’t change the story or add collectibles, but it is packed with Marvel comics references.

If running low on money, players can actually win 1000 Units by playing the cup and ball game with the floating brain-looking creature. Just don’t play another round, or it will con Peter out of 1500 Units instead.
