On Sunday, the actor turned 70, and his daughterElla Travoltashared a touching tribute to mark the milestone.
In the image, a young Ella made a frowning face for the camera as she posed next to her famous father.
John also got a birthday shout-out fromJamie Lee Curtis, his costar in the 1985 filmPerfect.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY@johntravolta,” the actress captioned herInstagram messageto theGreasestar. “We have been friends and colleagues for a long time and we share a passion for our art and children and rescue pups!”
Curtis, 65, also shared several photos of the pair, along with an image of them posing together on a July 1985 cover ofRolling Stonemagazine.
His filmography has cemented him as one of film’s most iconic names. He has two upcoming projects,Cash Outand the movie-musicalThat’s Amore!withKatherine Heigl.

Recently, John shared a video ofhis family’s holiday festivities, set to his recording of “Come Rain or Come Shine.” “Happy New Year!! Thank you for always being there for us! Love John Ella and Ben!” he captioned the post.
For his 69th birthday, John, a group of friends and his daughtertook a trip to Las Vegas. On Instagram, the aviator uploaded footage of the Vegas celebrations, including a clip of him giving Ella a signature movie-musical twirl.
Ella, a model and actress,posted a heartfelt tribute to her fatherfor his 69th birthday. “The most incredible father, friend and role model anyone could ask for. I love you, Daddy,” she wrote at the time.

On a 2021 episode ofKevin Hart’s talk showHart to Heart, John opened up about his views on aging. He recalled then-10-year-old Benjamin asking him what it felt like to be in his 60s.
“I said, ‘You know what, Ben? I can’t believe it. I can’t believe I’m in the last chapter of my life. I can’t believe it,’ " he told Hart. “I’m like, eternally 21. I don’t understand being in my 60s!”
