The Hubble Space Telescope has complete its   Frontier Fields observation , and to celebrate the accomplishment , the teamhas releasedan extraordinary image of Abell 370 in   more item than ever before .

Abell 370 is one of the six clump take in theFrontier Fields program . scientist used Hubble for 630 hr to bring on our   deepest observance of   the   galaxy clusters yet . But it ’s not a vanity project . The pictures are not only beautiful , they are also helping stargazer uncover some of the mysteries of the universe .

The cluster is 6 billion loose - years away and so monumental and dense that its gravity bend space - metre itself , acting as a gigantic lens of the eye . This effect is one of the reasons stargazer were concerned in Abell 370 and the other five cluster . These gravitational lens of the eye hyperbolize ( and distort ) the igniter of distant beetleweed , allowing astronomer an   incredible expression into the infancy of the universe . Some of the lensed galax are from the first few hundred million years of the cosmos .

The Frontier Fields program   has   allowed fantastically distant aim ( one   wasthe most distant at the time ) andnew population of galaxiesto be viewed as never before . It is also helping astronomers sympathise dark affair better . The mysterious ( and yet to be confirmed ) ingredient of the cosmos does n’t interact with light but only with graveness . So what better place to uncover   more about it than massive clusters ?

uranologist have alreadymapped dark matterin three of the six clusters and discovered some pretty interesting stuff . For example , Abell 370 appears to have two trenchant clumps of dark matter . This imply that the cluster actually formed from the meeting of two pocket-sized clump   – a   cosmic collision that   generated one of the gravid and most captivating aim in the macrocosm .

Galaxy clusters are the large gravitationally bind objects in the universe . They can host thousands of galaxies as well as fantastically raging gasolene and dark issue .
