One of the joys of seeingHarry Pottercome to life again is witnessing not only young actors securing career-defining opportunities, but also veteran stars earning roles in a series that will be seen by millions. Anton Lesser will already be recognized fromGame of ThronesandStar Wars, but Louise Brealey hasn’t had a stage this massive yet.
Both of the older stars have experience in fantasy projects, with Brealey appearing inA Discovery of WitchesandLockwood & Co.This will surely help them blend into the Wizarding World. Having Lesser take over the role of Ollivander following the late great Sir John Hurt’s iteration in theHarry Potterfilms will also be exciting.
More Excellent Choices For Harry Potter’s Cast

TheHarry PotterTV series is incredibly difficult to cast for, as no matter what, audiences are bound to have a range of emotions in response to the choices. With the books being so popular and the films widely acclaimed, imagining these new actors in iconic roles is going to feel off until we actually see the show.
That said, I can’t speak to the talents of the child actors, nor do I think it’s right to feel any way but hopeful for their success. I can, however, speak to the quality of the adult actors announced today, both of whom should be fantastic in theHarry Potterremake.
