Another legend has said he is done with competitive Fortnite.
Competitive Fortnite legend Martin “MrSavage” Foss Andersen has quit the game. This announcement arrived unexpectedly on Saturday, March 15 amid several roster changes. Having played at the highest level for seven years, MrSavage has accomplished almost every accolade possible in Fortnite.
However, he has stated his intentions to play Fortnite more casually and shift his content focus to more variety.
Did MrSavage quit Fortnite?
Yes, MrSavage announced that he quit Fortnite on July 27, 2025. This revelation was unexpected, as he had just finished eighth place in theFortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Chapter 6 Season 1. Unfortunately, he felt burnt out with the grind of competitive Fortnite and wanted to experiment with different content.
Savage expanded on his reasoning, saying he fell out of love with the game and the effort required to remain atop the pecking order. His intentions moving forward are to continue streaming and creating content but with fun as the focus.

If a hall of fame existed for competitive Fortnite, MrSavage would have a spot reserved without question. His career began in 2018, and he instantly made a name for himself. The Norwegian player was among the few who qualified for the Solo and Duo 2019 Fortnite World Cup.
Despite quitting Fortnite, MrSavage qualified for 22 FNCS Grand Finals, won twoDreamHack LAN tournaments, and reached the2022 FNCS Invitationaland2023 Global Championship Grand Finals. Although he never won an FNCS, he came close numerous times and earned over $500K.

MrSavage’s quitting announcement post has gained over 3 million views and over 5,000 responses since it went live. Fortnite legends both past and present went to social media with their support and words of encouragement.Cody “Clix” Conrodcommended his accomplishments in competitive Fortnite and life.
Thousands of others flooded the post with a similar sentiment. MrSavage’s long-time Fortnite duo and current Valorant pro Benjy “Benjyfishy” Fish posted a tribute, calling him “my goat.” He will compete again on LAN at the upcoming2025 Fortnite Pro-Am.
The future is bright for Mr. Savage as he says goodbye to competitive Fortnite. However, being one of the only “OGs” left in the scene, it’s a significant loss.
