Here is everything you need to know about the latest update to the Fortnite Crew service!

Epic Games announces massive change to Fortnite Crew

Following the announcement that allPass progression will happen simultaneouslybeginning in Chapter 6, Epic Games has taken this one step further. On Dec. 1, Fortnite Crew members will automatically receive access to theLEGOand Music Passes at no extra cost. That means the value of Fortnite’s monthly service has increased exponentially. Normally, a change of this magnitude would constitute a price change, but Epic has revealed Fortnite Crew will remain at $11.99 per month.

As of Dec. 1, Fortnite Crew members will unlock the following:

Matthew “MJP” Pryor

Fortnite’s LEGO andMusic Passesare somewhat recent additions, stemming from the LEGO andFestivalgame modes. Epic Games has collaborated with numerous popular musicians such asSnoop Dogg,Lady Gaga,The Weeknd,Billie Eilish, and more for its Festival game mode.

Fortnite OG Season will feature a dedicated Battle Pass

Another tidbit to take away from Epic’s Fortnite Crew announcement is that the upcomingpermanent return of Fortnite OGwill include its own Battle Pass, called the OG Pass. We’ve seen this before in the original Fortnite OG season, but each rotational Fortnite OG season will have a separate Battle Pass. This update to the subscription service will also extend to the OG Pass, giving you four Fortnite Passes for $11.99.

Battle Pass price will increase on Dec. 1

Epic rounded out itsblog postby stating the price of V-Bucks from a Battle Pass standpoint will increase on Dec. 1. Rather than the usual cost of 950 V-Bucks, players can expect to pay 1,000 V-Bucks for each seasonal Battle Pass. Additionally, the 25 Battle Pass Reward Bundle will be 1,800 V-Bucks instead of 1,850 V-Bucks, while the Battle Bundle will cost you 2,800.

Is this a good change for Fortnite Crew?

When addressing whether the Fortnite Crewwas worth the cost, we believed it came down to the player. If you enjoy skins and additional V-Bucks while playing the game enough, the service pays for itself. That is still the case, but to an even more significant extent. These extra perks paired with simultaneous progression means you receive rewards from four Passes for only $11.99.

The value represented in Fortnite Crew beginning on Dec. 1 is worth considering for most players, but that decision comes down to what you enjoy most.
