All new Boons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 and what they do

TheFire, Water, Wind, and Void Boonswill officially rotate out of the game once Season 2 is live. In their place are the Vulture, Gold Rush, Adrenaline Rush, Gold Ammo, and Greed Boon. Most are different from the elemental-based Boons from Season 1.

It appears Fortnite will re-theme the Boon each season, and the five included inChapter 6 Season 2are perfect. A mix of Gold and Greed is central to the Lawless season.

The only Boon that remains similar to Season 1 is the Vulture Boon, which reveals nearby enemies after eliminating an opponent. This is an exact copy of the Void Boon from Season 1. However, the other four Boons are entirely new in Chapter 6 Season 2.

Considering how much the new season revolves around this new Gold Rush mechanic, we expect the Gold Rush Boon will be critical. The Adrenaline Rush Boon is also interesting. It grants a Slap effect, allowing additional energy after mantling, hurdling, and wall jumping.

How do I get Boons in Chapter 6 Season 2?

Unlike last season, Epic Games has limited the methods of obtaining Boons. In Chapter 6 Season 2, you can only obtain Boons through the new Black Markets and Rare Chests.

How do these items work in Fortnite?

Boons are not your traditional Fortnite item. Rather than eating up an item slot, they occupy a separate area in your inventory. As a result, you can carry them without worrying about dropping a weapon or a healing item to make space.

However, knowing you cannot drop a Boons after picking them up is worth it. That means you are stuck with them for the remainder of the match. You will also maintain your Boon if a teammate reboots you.
