The Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland event will kick off on Dec. 19! Not only will it feature the return of season-specific game modes, but also the Winter Fair Event Pass. Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland 2023 launch date
The 2023 version of the Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland event will launch on Dec. 19. Once the event arrives, you’ll be able to celebrate the holiday season with returning game modes plus some free items.

The 2023 Winter Wonderland event will include a few familiar game modes. Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, and Freeze-Flash Elimination, will be accessible through the in-game Arcade. According to Blizzard, you will also get Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland event challenges and rewards alongside progression through the new Winter Fair Event Pass.

Overwatch 2 Winter Fair Event Pass explained
This season, you will also come across the Overwatch 2 Winter Fair Event Pass. This pass will let you unlock holiday-themed items such as skins, name cards, and sprays. The free pass will allow you to earn up to 120 tickets. Meanwhile, the premium version will let you earn up to 480 tickets. The premium version of the pass will require 500 Overwatch Coins.
How to get Overwatch 2 Winter Fair tickets
Overwatch 2 Winter Fair tickets will be granted after every nine games played, according to Blizzard. Victories will double the progress. The free Winter Fair Event Pass will let you spend your tickets on one free legendary skin of your choice. The choices will feature Cassidy, Baptiste, plus the Winter Jammies Illari legendary skin.
Meanwhile, the paid Overwatch 2 Winter Fair Event Pass will let you earn bonus tickets. You’ll also get to unlock up to three additional legendary skins plus other in-game cosmetics. This means you’ll be able to obtain the legendary Wrapping Paper Reinhardt skin or unlock the legendary Kerrigan Widowmaker skin.

“After January 15, any remaining unspent tickets will convert to Overwatch Credits that you can spend on classic Overwatch cosmetics available in the Hero Gallery,“Blizzard stated. The official announcement also noted that players will receive a free player icon for simply logging in on Dec. 19.
