How to unlock Kafka in Honkai: Star Rail
Since she is a limited character, the only way to unlock Kafka in Honkai Star Rail is to pull her on her banner. While she hasn’t gotten a rerun since HSR version 2.5, we expect her banner to return quite soon, so save up your Stellar Jades!

Who is Kafka in Honkai Star Rail?
Kafka is an enigmatic character when we first encounter her in-game. As the story of Honkai Star Rail progresses, it seems to be impossible to learn more about her.
What we do know is that she is a member of the Stellaron Hunters and is the primary reason why the Trailblazer absorbed the Stellaron. Canonically, Kafka is also a mysterious lady and is mostly associated with her coat collection.
The Character Stories that unlock in the game reveal more about her: she is wanted by the Interastral Peace Corporation and is loyal to “Destiny’s Slave” Elio. She is from New Babylon on the planet Pteruges-V and is wanted for stacks upon stacks of infractions.
We encounter her, as well as the rest of the Stellaron Hunters, occasionally across the Astral Express’s multiple stops. As such, we can expect that Kafka will be a constant presence by the Trailblazer’s side in the future.
She definitely knows more about the Trailblazer’s current affliction than she’s letting on. Honkai Star Rail developers once described the relationship between the protagonist and Kafka as a delicate dance, where one must not come too close but also not stray too far away.
Kafka in other Honkai games
Honkai: Star Rail is the third Honkai game where a version of Kafka has made an appearance. Kafka made her debut in MiHoYo’s Houkai Gakuen 2, also known as Guns Girl Z. She was later added to MiHoYo’s Honkai Impact 3 as part of a collaboration. In both games, her backstory was as a gloomy writer who was used to smiling at others and feeling sad for the weak.
