Fortnite Reload is NOT ending!
Rumors have recently spread through TikTok and other social media platforms regarding the impending end of Fortnite’s beloved Reload game mode. Some have reported that Epic plans to take the mode offline to bring more players back to Battle Royale. However, there is no evidence to support this theory.
Given the popularity of the game mode, it’s unlikely that Fortnite Reload is going anywhere. Here is everything we know, including the origin of the reports.

When researching the topic, atweet from the FortReloadaccount on X populates. It states that Epic Games will discontinue the game mode on June 21, 2025, “to help with matchmaking health.” Upon further investigation, it’s clear that this was an April Fools' joke.
The account made this post on April 1 and hasn’t posted since April 13. Therefore, it’s safe to say that there is no way to substantiate this information. Additionally, there are only 30 days in June, which is another drawback to this theory.

More recently, TikTok creators have falsely reported that Epic Games plans to take Reload offline temporarilyin the new seasonto increase Battle Royale numbers. Again, the Fortnite developers have not said anything along these lines on social media or the game’s official website.

Beyond the unverified reports, it’s worth noting that Reload is one of Fortnite’s most popular game modes. PerFortnite.GG, both the ranked and unranked average between 50,000 and 90,000 players, depending on the day.
Those numbers put Reload behind only Battle Royale and Zero Build as a consistent top-four game mode. Add in the fact that Epic Games recently hosted aFortnite Pro-Amplayed on thelatest Reload map, and that should be enough evidence to prove it’s not ending.

Unfortunately, these types of rumors occasionally surface. You can rest easy knowing that, given the success of Fortnite Reload, Epic won’t remove it.
