We ’re eagerly awaiting the Easter instalment of Doctor Who – Michelle Ryan and all – but now we ’re hearing the show has run into a major snag , and may not publicize at Easter . Possible spoilers …

If you looked atthose set photos we ran last hebdomad , you saw David Tennant and costar Ryan sitting in a twofold - Thomas Dekker London bus . agree to Den Of Geek , that bus , or one like it , was mean to be transported to Dubai for filming there . ( If it ’s true that Dubai is standing for an foreign major planet , then maybe the London omnibus gets whisked off to another planet ? )

lamentably that London bus – which is substantive for the plot – was damage in shipping , so poorly that it ca n’t be used at all . This has forced writers Russell T. Davies and Gareth Roberts to rush back to the drawing board , rewriting the episode to suit the freshly junk land of the coach . ( Or write the passenger vehicle out on the whole ? )

Meanwhile , I could n’t serve perusing those images a morsel more closely , and find a few things . Like , what ’s Tennant holding in this word-painting ( and a few others ) ? It looks like some form of timey - whimey sensor :

And observe an ad over Tennant ’s brain for a book address Ocean Of Noise by E.R. Butler . There ’s no such leger – I checked – but “ Ocean Of Noise ” is a birdsong by Arcade Fire , a group which include Win Butler . In - laugh ? Or does the script Ocean Of Noise frame in the plot of ground somehow ?

Who ’s this woman stand up next to Michelle Ryan ? She ’s not wearing a reflective vest like the rest of the crew , so is she another worker ? Or is she a producer and I ’m just not recognizing her ?

And finally , are these horseback police officers – who looked like pumpkin - headed monsters in the thumbnail version – part of the story ? Or just local colour ? ( Please let there be horses . Tennant on hogback is always a major asset . )
