Now that Season 3 ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfareis here, there is plenty of new content coming to the game. There are even rumors that the new seasoncould be adding fan favorite modesback to the series, including prop hunt which was first introduced inBlack Ops 3.
The season 3 patch forModern Warfarerolled out for all players yesterday, and it was quite the patch for players to download. One of the more appealing bits of cosmetic content that came along with the patch was a brand new skin that gives fan favorite operator Ghost a more classic look.

Theseason 3 launch trailer confirmedplenty of new maps and other modes and updates coming to the game over the course of this new season. The trailer showed off brand new operators like Alex, who played a prominent role inModern Warfare’s campaign. Additionally, new weapons and maps were shown off for multiplayer. However, press images from Activision highlighted an interesting new look for Simon “Ghost” Riley that has some fans excited.
The skin in question looks to take Ghost back to a more classic appearance from the games the character originated from. WhileGhost was confirmed to return during season 2, some fans were somewhat disappointed with the updated look Infinity Ward gave him in the remake. However, this new skin seems to harken back to his original appearance inModern Warfare 2complete with his trademark sunglasses and a flatter skull mask.
Unfortunately, this skin does not seem to be in the game yet, as it can only be seen through the press images that Activision has distributed. While theseason 3 patch notes have been releasedto the general public, there seems to be no explicit mention of this skin yet. The skin is undoubtedly going to be released sooner or later, but when that is exactly is unclear at the moment.
Until then, players will have plenty of new content to dive in to in bothModern Warfareand the free battle royaleWarzonemode that was released last month.Season 3’s official start datebegan yesterday, and players are no doubt already making headway towards the myriad of unlocks that came along with the update. Until the new Ghost skin is officially released, players can look forward to unlocking Alex by simply purchasing the season 3 battle pass.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Season 3 begins tomorrow, April 8.
