The release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, which is being produced by Sledgehammer Games, has been announced!
Activision Blizzard has officially announced the release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The latest instalment in the Modern Warfare series is set to be released on June 29, 2025 as per a video released on the Call of Duty YouTube channel earlier today.

So for we know very little about what we can expect in this latest Call of Duty title. We know that it has been in development under Sledgehammer Games; the studio which produced Call of Duty: Vanguard and was a part of the original Modern Warfare 3 title.
Judging by a series of audio cues from the reveal video, we can speculate that this MWIII will be picking up right where we left off at the end of the MWII campaign — a moment which teased the potential return of fan-favorite character Vladimir Makarov. There have also been rumors of some old game-mechanics making a return for MWIII, such as Slide-Cancelling, Red-Dots on the minimap and Ninja coming back as a perk.
The main reveal for Modern Warfare III is set to be happening via an in-game event inCall of Duty: Warzone 2on August 17 at the Zaya Observatory POI. The time has yet to be finalized for this particular event.
However, we have learned from a series of posts that fans can receive information related to the event by sending a text message to a phone number that was shown in the teaser trailer. These numbers were shown at the start of the video, accompanied by a vibrating phone noise.
