Blair Witch, the latest first-person horror game fromLayers of Fearstudio Bloober Team, is available now. In our ownBlair Witchreview, we pointed out that while the game does have its fair share of shortcomings, there’s also a lot to like about it for bothBlair Witch Projectfans and horror fans in general. One key factor that one might consider before they decide to buy the game or not is its length, and so some may want to know how longBlair Witchtakes to beat.
In our initial playthrough ofBlair Witch, we were able to complete the game in just over four hours. This included a couple of stretches where we were lost and couldn’t figure out what to do next. If we had never gotten stuck, we imagine that it would have taken about three and a half hours to beat the game.

Previously, it was claimed by the developers that it would take anaverage of six hours to beatBlair Witch, but that seems unlikely for most players. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t extra content in the game that could give players more than four hours of playtime.
In fact,Blair Witchactually has a fair amount of replayability. There are collectibles for players to find, not to mention some optional puzzles to solve that they may not be able to figure out their first time through. Player choice also impacts the different endings players may see inBlair Witch, and so as long as players don’t mind starting over from the beginning, they could be compelled to play through the entire game to see all of the possible story outcomes.
Overall,Blair Witchis about as long as Bloober Team’sLayers of Feargames, so fans of the studio likely won’t be bothered by the game’s relatively short length. But now that players know about how long it will take for them to beatBlair Witch, they can make an informed decision about whether or not they want to take the plunge and venture into theBlack Hills forest with Ellis and his dog Bullet.
Blair Witchis out now on PC and Xbox One.
