Anime Expo is always filled with some of the biggest anime news of the year, and fortunately, 2025 was no exception. The movie premieres in English-speaking territories on October 29, and if the new trailer is to be believed, then it will be well worth the wait.
A new teaser forScience Saru’sGhost in the Shellrebootdropped at Anime Expo, and while it didn’t show much, the information released alongside it was the true draw, as it was confirmed thatThe Ghost in the Shellwill strive to be closer to the original manga both visually and narratively than previous adaptations. That leaves it poised to be the most uniqueGhost in the Shellanime since the original, so old and new fans alike have plenty to be excited about.

To the surprise of many, the reboot appears to be a CGI-heavy anime, and while the teaser appears to be as bad as the average CGI anime, the finished product will ideally look much better than what was shown at Anime Expo 2025.
