Romancing characters inWarhammer 40K: Rogue Traderis very simple, since it’s primarily done through dialogue choices during conversations. Whenever you’re speaking with a character you wish to romance, you want to help them out whenever the opportunity arises, and pick dialogue choices that line up with a character’s own personality and opinions. So, don’t feel compelled to always go with the most flirtatious sounding options. Romanceable characters also have a specific quest tied to them, which you’ll need to complete before you can enter a relationship.
Another important thing to note is thatRogue Traderonly lets you play as a male or female character, and a couple of the romance options will be unavailable depending on which gender you pick. It’s something to keep in mind if there’s a specific party member you wish to romance. Cassia Orsellio
Cassia can be recruited in Chapter 1 and is only available as a romance option if you’re playing a male character. Her romance is a bit of a slow burn, so don’t push for it too hard until you’re further into the game. Be sure to call her beautiful when you get the chance though.
Heinrix Van Calox
Heinrix is another companion who will join you in Chapter 1, and you can only romance him if you’re playing a female character. He’s eager for a marriage for political reasons, so you can afford to be pushy early on, though try to pick Dogmatic options during conversations whenever he’s around. He’s not going to be interested in somehow who’s willing to challenge the status quo.
Jae Heydari
Jae can be recruited in Chapter 2 and can be romanced regardless of gender. She’s one of the easier characters to romance since she can be rather flirty herself. So long as you’re receptive to her advances and flirt back, you should eventually win her heart.
Yrliet Lanaevyss
Just like Jae, Yrliet can join the party in Chapter 2 and isn’t bothered by your choice in gender. She can be difficult to romance, though, since she hates forms of intimacy. Avoid any flirty dialogue, and attempt to be respectful. Eventually, she’ll warm up to you.
Marazhai Aezyrraesh
Marazhai can be recruited in Chapter 3 and, like Jae and Yrliet, can be romanced regardless of gender. His romance route is interesting since it can go one of two different ways; he’ll be either a dominant or submissive partner depending on your dialogue choices. Just try to be consistent with your approach, as flip-flopping can drive him away. Marazhai also wants a courageous partner, so don’t be a stinky coward.
