Gear up for moreBorderlands, as Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has said that the company is working on a new entry, alongside a newBrothers in Armsand more. As theBorderlandsmovie reportedly stinks up theaters, a “new mainline title” has been teased by Pitchford during anEpic Gamesinterview published Thursday.
When asked if Gearbox is working on the next “mainline” game in theBorderlandsseries, Pitchford replied: “Of course we are.”

That’s not it, either. While discussing the newBorderlandsmovie that is available in theatres this weekend, Pitchford teased to Epic Games that multiple projects are in development, thanks to a “leadership cluster,” which “drives a project from cradle to grave.”
“With this approach, we’re able to spin up multiple things, including a newBrothers in Armsgame, which has been in development for a while—but we’re not yet ready to talk about it,” said Pitchford. Perhaps, we could see this project announced during The Game Awards this year. TheBrothers in Armsseries had aTV show in the worksin 2020 as well, and therehave been mentions of a new entry in the seriesover the years.

Duke Nukemis also referenced during the interview. “We’re working on every IP. I mean, we just launchedHomeworld 3, and there’s still work going on there,” Pitchford said. “And there’sRisk of Rain, and there’sDuke Nukem, and there’s more.”
The latest entry in theBorderlandsseries was the spinoffTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which was received relatively well by critics and fans. “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis moreBorderlands, and the lighter fantasy fare might actually get people to dive in for the first time,” saidour review. “With that in mind, it’s still moreBorderlands, so the same basic formula isn’t going to magically change your stance if you’re a lapsed fan.”
